I’d love to have a job. First of all, having own job means earning own money which can be used for entertainment and meeting some of own needs. I can spend the money on things that I like, like traveling, reading, going to cinema, etc. Then, a job allows me to experience new and different things, getting out of the comfort zone and trying to handle the work pressure and issues. Lastly, working is meaningful, not only in economic sense, but for personal self-fulfillment.
I think it’s good for people with certain qualifications and experiences to make use of their time during holidays, so as to cultivate their abilities. As for me, if I can get my academic qualification, I would prefer to work when I graduate instead of traveling, because I should find a regular job like others.
I would like to be a Chinese teacher who could teach Chinese to foreign students. Teaching as an occupation appeals to me for two main reasons. One is that I can develop my language skills by comparing Chinese with English. I find it both interesting and challenging to teach students to learn Chinese by explaining the usage of words and the structure of sentences in English. The other reason why I want to be a teacher is that I can share the interesting Chinese culture with foreigners and let them understand China better.
