MIT运筹学是哪个学院的？
应该算是MIT的“五院”之一，和IEOR、EECS等等并列。 官方的介绍是这样的（引用自MIT网站）：The MIT Operations Research Center (ORC) is a multidisciplinary research group with members in mathematics， engineering， computer science and economics. ORC's mission is to perform world-class basic research that will have a significant impact on the practice of management， operations， industrial engineering and economics. The center's activities are devoted primarily to mathematical modeling， numerical analysis， computing， statistics and economic theory， as well as their application to real-world problems.
简单的说，OSI就是由一群热爱数学、热爱编程，想和世界顶级教授讨论问题的优秀学生们组成的学院。在这里学生不仅能学到很多新的想法和新知识，还能培养自己的独立思考能力！
下面简单介绍一下我的经历，我是2019年从UW-Madison转学过来的，在大二的时候修了OSI的OR584（Quantitative Marketing），因为喜欢这个专业于是接着上了OR637（Optimization Modeling）。大二暑假在ORC做了一个data mining的相关项目，大三上在美国做了两个数据分析的项目，一个大三下在国内做了一个数据挖掘/量化投资的项目。大三大四分别学了OR647（Statistics for Optimization）和OR697（Financial Engineering）。大四毕业参加了Admissions OPT。
我申请到了AD，但是最后因为各种原因没去成，于是申请了UIUC的MFE，今年春季入学。虽然最终没有去到MIT的OSI念PhD，但是我还是很感激这里，希望我的学习经历可以帮到大家！
